I'm considering a 'competency based' model for this course that would give students the option of either: (1) getting a maximum of 85 points (solid B) for a basic version of the course with slightly slower pacing; or (2) using videotaped supplemental lectures to complete more advanced or more difficult material for a maximum grade of 100, an A+. The more challenging option would include additional labs to replace worksheets. Students could change their 'track' if and when the wished.
