Why do I have this website?
Vermont Tech uses the Canvas learning management system, and so do I. There are things Canvas does fairly well like its grade book, assignments, discussion forum and group email functions. But maintaining my own site allows me to build and improve my courses continually, rather than one semester at a time, and to share with those not taking my courses. The latter point is most important to me as I learn about teaching and learning from others, by listening to them, talking to them and visiting their websites. I believe that education should always be open and collaborative!

Basic site design:
The navigation bar at the top of this page allows you to navigate between the courses I teach at Vermont Tech. Each course has a main page describing the course, its goals, and outcomes, and providing basic reference materials. Each course is divided into eleven to fourteen modules that are accessed by the drop-down menus provided by the navigation bar. Each module includes PowerPoint slides sets and other course materials, links and other items of interest, tutorial videos, reference materials and guides and assignments.
Poke around and have a look. If you have suggestions you'll find my contact information through the navigation bar.
